ImageCore is an MPEG-2 I encoder designed for use with autonomous surveillance and target recognition applications. Fully synchronous very high speed circuit (VHDL) design produces ISO/IED 13818-2 compliant video stream. ImageCore offers superior stabilized video, using standardized compression to perform at high speeds with minimal resources.

ImageCore requires no external random access memory (RAM). MPEG compliant compression enables direct implementation of digital compression in several field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). ImageCore may be implemented as a stand alone video compression unit or integrated into larger FPGA systems.

Embedded design applications include video broadcast equipment, DVD video recordings, HDD video recording and video storage.
